Games in Concert 3

SO, in 2 weeks we will be going to the third edition of Games in Concert, and the final trakclist has been made available. It is bloody awesome.

I have compiled the list and added youtube links, where available, so you can form a mental image of the utter awesomeness that will be Games in Concert 3

Also, world-famous piano player Wibi Soerjadi, will play his own rendition of the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda music! Awesome!

En garde, touché! -Oh, that is so cliché

So I finally picked up a sport.

[caption id="attachment_161" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Fencing"]Fencing[/caption]

Fencing! It's really cool, and intense! And damn, it's heavier than it looks :P
So from now on I will be fencing once a week. En garde!

How can I be lost, if I've got nowhere to go?

So a lot happened I guess, in terms of things happening.

I started my minor last week, a course of Religious Studies. It's pretty awesome so far, but hard work. Lots of typing and research to do, and we only have 2 subjects. Thank god we don't have more xD

The class is pretty nice, didn't really expect this many hipsters in in to be honest. It kinda sounds like a geeky course, but it's really not.

I will be posting every paper I make in my portfolio, under a special section called Minor. I still have to make this section, which I will do after I've finished this blogpost. Why do I share my hard work? Well, for one because I believe knowledge is free, and it might help some people. Second because most of it will be about Wicca, and I want to teach people what Wicca is all about.

Then the new Metallica album arrived. Which is pretty neat. It's heavy, but not too heavy, and Unforgiven III is an awesome track. Go downl-I mean buy it now!

Other than that not too much happened, I 'spose. Just did a lot of fun things, like I went to Serj Tankian (pictures and video available)

That's it for this post!

Somehow turn me around

As you may undoubtedly have noticed, my blog post titles are always from a song that's currently on my mind. Try to discover where every one is from! It's like fun and stuff!

Anyway, new design for my Hyves. Nothing groundbreaking, since Hyves' skinning mechanism sucks big time. Much like everything else there. I hope to be a part of the team that'll fix it one day ^^

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme

I got a lot of Wiccan books the past few weeks, topping it off with thé book by dr. Gerald Gardner. I really recommend this book for everyone who wants to know where our roots lay.

And it's a cheap book as well. So what are you waiting for? :P It's titled Witchcraft Today, and freely available. Go get it.

It's a godawful small affair

I really should blog more. Shouldn't I? I should.

Anyway, what has been going on in my life. Well, first of all, I ended things with Marlen, since she just wasn't right for me. Shit happens. Then I met another girl, also turns out, she just isn't the one. Shit keeps happening.

But I won't sulk!

I am embracing my Wiccan self more and more. I am looking around for covens in the neighbourhood, but due to the secretive approach of many covens, this is proving harder than I thought. If anyone has any information for me, please come forward.

Today I'm at home, bored tbh. Not much to see or do in this little town of mine. Backing up my site now, gonna make some minor changes.

Bleh, gotta end things with this girl today. I never like ending things with girls. But it's still better than being in a relationship which doesn't work.

Enough blogging again. I will be back later, hopefully with a more positive post :P

It's been a long time

Since my last update, lols. Never in the mood to blog, it seems. That, and I'm busy. Or just wanna do other stuff besides blogging. But now I'm bored at my internship, so I decided to kick up another blog post.

Hmm what have I been up to the last few weeks. Well, for one, I've spent a lot of time with my girlfriend. Well, mostly during the weekends, but still. We went to Antwerp 2 weeks ago, which was a blast. And last week we went to the Tattoo Convention in Amsterdam which was nice, but not spectacular.

Speaking of tattoo's, I'm getting ink done tomorrow. I'm going to have Pacman on my heel, pixelart style :) Not too large, since it's my heel and I'm not made of money ;)

That, and I'm ordering a new PC tomorrow! Well, at least the parts for it, gonna assemble it myself of course, which is half of the fun of getting a new pc, ain't it? :P

It's gonna be a beast! This are the specs which I have in mind:

Graphics card: MSI N9800GTX-T2D512 OC
CPU: Intel Pentium Core 2 Quad
Memory: 2x 2GB (that's 4gb!)
HDD: 120gb SATA (I got a 500 gig external drive, so no big drive needed imo)
Mainboard: MSI P6NGM-L
Case: Sharkoon Avenger Economy shut up, gotta cut on expenses somewhere and this is a fine case)

And with it, a new keyboard and 2 casefans. Nothing fancy. I decided not to get a new DVD burner, since the one I got is good enough.

This will set me back quite a bit though, but my father who I love will support me a bit. I don't know how much yet though, so I might have to settle for a lesser gfx card ;)

And I admit it. I'm addicted again. Addicted to the crack cocaine that is the World of Warcraft. :(

That's it for now! Cya! (No not running to WoW, since I'm at my internship :p)

100 Posts!

My previous post was my 100th post! Hurray!

To celebrate, here's a lolcat:

Once I start I cannot stop myself

NEW NiN ALBUM! Booyah!

And of course, in good NiN fashion, it's downloadable for free. And I don't mean crappy 48kbps MP3's, no no, LOSSLESS. And I'm at track 5 of 11, and so far it's awesome again.

So my boss texted me at 3.30am, saying I didn't have to come to my internship because they're gonna fix the virus problem we detected friday.  Free day off, yay!

I'm browsing for a suit for my next raid, why do they have to make the measures to goddamned impossible for normal men? My shirt size is M,  my pant size is 34, BUT THOSE AREN'T OPTIONS. No no, instead, you have U, N and S sizes, each with numbers, seemingly totally random.

Argh.

Oh well, wish me luck and look for me @ Damrak, Amsterdam this Saturday.

Queen's Day

My word, what a Queen's Day it was. Celebrated it in our capitol for the first time, and Amsterdam is pretty awesome during Queen's Day.

I also bought some new gear. New shoes, new pants+belt, my new look is coming soon(ish) :P

These are my new shoes:

I swear this blog is becoming more girly every frickin' post

I met my new mother-in-law and sister-in-law, which were pretty nice. They're friendly folk, that's for sure. And the sister can make a killer sushi.

Anyway, I'm at my internship and it's time to go home, so sorry for the short post and all, but hey, what can I say.

Repeat after me: "I am free"

Awesome image that popped up on Digg:

Repeat after me: "I am free"

Graffiti on Philip St, Bedminster, Bristol, UK (opposite Windmill City Farm)

Anyway, I went to the Emilie Autumn concert last Friday, which was extremely awesome. She's much better live than I thought, since most of her live recordings arent all too well XD This was a cool concert on all accounts. The decor was amazing, the woman were amazing, and Emilie herself was amazing.

For pics, go here (Evelien's), or here (Mine). Videos are available here (mine)

I also promised you some Portishead material. Pictures are available here.

My piercing video is also available here.

New theme and page

I was bored at my internship, so I installed a new theme for my blog. I hope you like it. It fits my current communist views a bit more ;)

I also added a new page, about my piercing and it's ongoing status. I found a site which did the same, which helped me a lot, so I decided to do the same, for those of you who are considering getting a nape piercing.

You can access it through the link on top of the page, or this one

And now I'm going back to doing 'research', a.k.a. slacking ;)

You take what I can give and you treasure it

This weekend we were legon once again, and it was win after win after win after win, especially for me.

I did something I wanted to do for a long time; a free hugs campaign. And it was awesome. I hugged a _lot_ of people. Including 4 half naked drunken Brits. Male Brits. Who decided it would be fun to make a man-pile on top of me. My back still hurts :(

Pics and vids will come soon.

And my gf went out with us this weekend, which was really epic. Her first time going out in Brabant ;)

That's it for now. I'm riding the bus to my internship and I need sleep xD

EDIT: Video of Huganon: LINK!

The taste of life I can't describe

Alright, best 2 days in a long year.

Monday, we met at 12:30, ate a bagel, which I never ate because I suck. But they're lovely. After that we went to the hotel (after walking through the shopping district, and being dragged into a clothes shop because of a 'fabulous' dress xD).

Our hotel room was pretty sweet, nice bed, nice bathroom etc.

We went to eat at La Place, which was nice. But afterwards we went to the Portishead concert, which was A-FUCKING-MAZING. Really, they were even better live than on CD. Beth Gibbons is without a single doubt  the best singer I know. And I kissed her. Yes, that's right, I kissed Beth Gibbons. On the cheek, but it was a kiss nonetheless. She laughed, and I kissed my biggest idol. Fuck yeah.

Even the band before Portishead was amazing. Their name is Kling Klang, and if I had to describe them, I'd say, Kraftwerk a la 2008. Awesome stuff.

The next day. The dreaded day of my piercing. First things first. We started with breakfast at Bakker Bart (not exactly Tiffany's but it'll have to do). Then we went to her house, which I had never seen before. She lives lovely, btw.

At about 14:30 the time had come to go to the piercer. When we got there, all my anxiety went away. She was Brabants, like I am, superfriendly and funny. A typical Brabander, which is rare in Amsterdam.

We picked out how my piercing should look, and she totally agreed with my decision. After drawing and massaging my neck (Marlen has yet to massage me ;)), she pierced me. I won't say it didn't hurt, but it didn't hurt half as much as I'd expected. Fuck that, not even a quart of what I expected. Then again, I'm fucking imba.

Marlen had a microdermal done, which looks like a small black diamond at the end of her eyebrow. Very nice, and fking smexay.

We visited the Torture Museum after talking with Sharon (the piercer). It was nice to see, but I really felt for what my ancestors have had to endure. Damn the Catholic Church. Hypocrites.

And I kissed Beth Gibbons. Which I am listening to right now. Awesome!!! Now I am riding the train home. These two days were really awesome. The bond between me and Marlen grew noticeably. I love her :)

I made loads of Portishead, and three movies. Roads completely, Glory Box completely and a part of a new song. Marlen made a vid of me being pierced, to show that I really didn't scream like a little girl.

What a fucking long post! I've been typing on my iPod for over 40 minutes now. Time to end it!

Greetings from your now-pierced friend.

Addendum to my previous post

Allright, so according to Marlen she was not the first to say the L word. I disagree, but since I am such an easy going guy, I'll  admit, we both kind-of half said it before actually admitting it.

This is turning into an episode of the O.C. faster than a mouse sneezes. And that's fast.

And I'll take you for who you are

if you take me for everything...

So the night before last night (is that even an expression? I mean the night from Friday to Saturday) we said it.  Well, she said it first. The dreaded "L" word. And I don't mean lesbian, or limerick, or hell, even lobotomy.

No, she said she loved me. We kinda danced around the fact for a short while Friday evening, but then, at like 3:30am she texted me  that she loved me. I read it at like 10am, how's that for a start of a day :D

Of course I texted her back that I felt the same :) She's a very special girl, different from other girls I know or dated in the past. Something about her is just, I don't know. She knows to push all the right buttons, y'know? She can switch from being in a total Play-Wrestling mood to wanting to cuddle on 0.5 seconds.

I hope things work out between us. She's the nicest girl I've gotten to know in a long time. Let's see what the next 2 days will bring us, spending a lot of time together, I'm meeting with her at like 2 pm, then a concert, then hotel together, and the next day we're getting piercings :P

Oh lawd I'm in love again >_>

On a sidenote, this blog is turning into a whiney 14 year old girl's diary.  I'M SORRY, SUE ME.

Awesome week up ahead!

Next week will be AWESOME (as the title kinda suggests). Monday I'll go see PORTISHEAD! Woo! I've seen the setlist, and quite frankly, it couldn't have been better. All my favorites are on there :)

And then, Tuesday, I'll get my neck pierced :D Also awesome :D

And, Saturday the 12th we'll be pwning $cientology again :P

I'm at my internship now, and I kinda have nothing to do at the moment. But I worked very hard today so I'm allowing myself to slack a little.

Yesterday Marlen came over. And as far as I know, she's still in my room now xD We watched The Mist (yes we actually finished the movie :O) and went to sleep at like 2 am, while my alarm went off at 5:45 am >_> But it's worth it.

Allright, that's it for this entry. Keep trucking, and look out for a new theme soon. I think.

War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.

So I am reading George Orwell's 1984, which is thus far an awesome book, and a must read for, well just about everyone really. We can't let our world change into the world described by Orwell.

I bid on a set of 5 communist pins of Lenin, and I won them :D 5 of these awesome pins, for only €3,44! What a bargain! Now all I need is an awesome commie shirt, which i might buy next month. I don't know yet. I'll post a pic of the pins when they arrive.

Things are going sweet between me and Marlen. She spent the night two times now, and we stayed in a hotel twice as well :P She's coming over tomorrow, though she won't spend the night then. Too bad :<

We'll go to the Portishead concert this Monday (yay!) and she'll hold my hand when I'm getting my piercing :P She might also get a new piercing then, which is always awesome. And the 12th, after the Anonymous demonstration (go hug your mother btw), she'll come home with me and we'll go to the Heksenketel together :)

She's truly awesome >_> <3

I'm bored at my internship now. I had a lot to do today, but it's all done and now I got nothing to do. So I'm blogging. And now I'm done.

ALRIGHT FUCK IT

Ok I'm in love.

So is she.

So is Jesse

I'm telling you, this whole Spring thing, I think there might be something to it!

It don't feel good until it hurts

Alright, the long-overdue lovey-dovey post. Hold on tight, it's gonna be a wild one.

I'm slowly started to fall in love.  Well, of course I have feelings for Marlen, but I'm moving to stage two, and I love it. Stage one being the attraction phase, two the falling in love phase and the third one the love phase.

I guess this is the part where I get to tell all about her. And you will have to read it, being the fans you are.

So, as you know, her name is Marlen.  She's 19 years old, and from Amsterdam (hell yeah~).  She's Croatian (can I get another hell yeah?), into body modification (omg), sometimes wears glasses (amg) and red lipstick (*splodes*). She has some nice piercings already, plus scarification above an intimate body part.

So far, we had 3 dates, spent one night in an hotel, and she visited my house and left the other day (Know whatahmean, know whatahmean, nudge nudge, know whatahmean, say no more?) and the click is definitaly there. Definitaly :D

I'm seeing her again this wednesday. Sigh. That's so fucking far off though. Thank god for the Internet,  we talk with eachother far into the night each day,  and with a webcam I can even see her. Which is at least something. But not nearly enough. I want more XD

But to be honest, it's for the best. This way we can build something up slowly, which is better than rushing into another relation too fast.

Blah, I wanna scream from the rooftops :P A feeling which I didn't have for a long time! Oh well,  I'm going to play my guitar now, it's a vent for my feelings :P A positive vent, this time XD

Vidimo se!

I ate Skippy :(

Allright blog, that was an awesome night, Jesus Fuck. It had all the ingredients of an awesome night:

  • Good food

  • Good booze (Guinness)

  • Good music

  • Amazing girl ;)

Anyway, we started the evening at an English pub called The old Bell, where we drank and cheered to good ol' St. Patty. After that we went to an Aussie restaurant/bar where we had a bite to eat. I had the kangaroo steak, sorry Skippy :P She had the ribs. My kinda girl, not afraid of getting her hands dirty.

Thursday she'll come to my place. Epic win.

Now Im going to close my eyes and ride this beast of a train trip out. 2 a.m. in bed if I'm lucky -_- But it's worth every last bit of it.

Good night, and good luck!

Anonymous, what is your profession!?

Well, fuck. We didnt get the media coverage we expected. Only one story so far on T.V., which was about 1 minute long, and one picture in a newspaper. Meh. But whatever, the Scifags are making themselves rediculous without us having to interfere, with the Tom Cruise fellow

So they were also demonstrating Saturday. Against what? DRUGS. In fucking AMSTERDAM XD. And not ust recreational drugs, either. No no, apparently, Ritalin is a dangerous drug. I only remember my sister, who couldn't do without. Stupid scifags.

Anyway, blogging from the train again, on my way to see my gf. We'll go to an English pub, and since it's St/ Patrick's Day, I thik it'll be fun :P Guinness here I come!

So my ex is pissed at me for ending it with her for the reason of me not being ready for a new gf. Well, if you read this, at that time I wasn't, and things moved way too fast. And sometimes things just dont work out, y'know?

Love is a strange thing surrounded by fate, chance, luck and everything else we do not control. Love does things to us no other emotin can. All we can do is let it guide us.

Signing off for now!

Sunday, March 16, 2008

It was win, after win, after win, after win.

My feet hurt, I can barely raise my right arm, my voice is gone but jesus, truly epic lulz.

I'm talking about Operation Party Hard of course, which was yesterday. We stopped counting at 90 participants, but we easily had 100.

We had some scifags at our demo, but we owned them; hard. I got my Guy Fawkes mask, and my Xenu is my homeboy shirt :D

A movie will come soon, as well as loads of pics. And I looked pretty damned awesome, if I do say so myself. Our press-supporter (who has been proscecuted by $ci) really liked my coat. My sign with Why Are They Dead really drew attention. People didn't know the cult prosecuted and killed people. Well now they do :D

Next operation is Operation Reconnect. Do you love your family? Scientology doesn't. Go give your mother a hug.

(or I will lulz)

Btw. Marlen you're lovely ;) <3

Just Rick Rolling along...

Tonight the second date with the girl who's very likely to become my next girlfriend! I won't rant on about how :awesome: she is, since she doesn't like that.

But fuck yeah, seaking!

More on this later. Saturday is going to be amazing. I'll be there with the other hardcore anon's at 10.30 to set stuff up. I'm getting a Xenu is my homeboy shirt, and get this, A FUCKING GUY FAWKES MASK! Fuck yeah, I liek mudkipz.

Anyway, I'll be bringing my camera, so expect footage sometime after Saturday. Wait for it though, since I'm busy as fuck.

Nothing more to report now.

The voice of truth abides.

Another multiparter for y'all. I reckon if I do it like this, my posts are somewhat longer :p

Alright, I'm off the market again, sorry ladies. Yesterday evening was nice, the night even better ;)

Anyhoo, we are a thing now and that's all I'm gonna say about that. She doesn't like me blogging about these kinds of things :P

Allright, on to bussiness.

Portishead - Third

Officially not out yet, this album marks the start of Portishead's first tour in ten years.

The album is nice, but harder than their previous albums. But Beth's voice still sounds amazing. Nice music to chillax to, but defi. not the fuckmusic we know from P.

4/5 EFG masks for this one.

Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV

NiN released an album out of nowhere, and since Trent Reznor gives shit about the record companies, they released it in a way that there's no record label needed.

You get the choice of downloading disc 1 for free, then the rest for 5 bucks. Or you can pay 10 bucks and get them hardcopy. Or 50 and get the deluxe edition. Or 300 and get the ultra deluxe limited edition, numbered and signed by Reznor himself.

In 2 days, they made $750,000. Bye bye, record companies :P

The albums are instrumental, experimental albums. A combination of lounge and rock. All are great in their own way, give them a listen!

4/5 mudkipz.

C-C-C-Combo!

I wrote three blog posts the past few days on the train. Here they are!

Ahahah, intelligent debate started from my flyer, among three normal working men. Talking about how they wanted to come to Party Hard. My day is good already :P They even said, "Why isn't Geert (Wilders, red.) doing something with this. And I agree :P

Being Anonymous isn't always nice, though. They had some questions which I couldn't answer or I had to reveal my identity. Which I won't, under no circumstance. Only to a select few, such as you, my loyal reader.

Party Hard will own so much it will probably hurt.

On a different note, I finally decided what piercing I want. Well, almost. Still figuring out if I want the Eurofag or Amerifag version. I'm going to get a nape piercing, which is a neck piercing. Moehaha.

Ah what a rush! Spreading Anon's message in the train, putting flyers everywhere you can. Give people no time to see you though, for we are Anonymous.

Only one man looked at me and shook no, which I respected. Progress without violence. Change should be encouraged, never enforced.

I just hope the damn sheep wake up, read the flyer and realize what Anon is trying to accomplish. Freedom of oppression, Freedom of knowledge, Freedom on the internet.

Also epic lulz.

If it were up to me, $cientology would already be dead, buried and forgotten. And guess what. It is up to me. And you. All of us. Look up your local $cientology church, and come to the protest, Project Party Hard. We will be celebrating the birthday of $cientology's father, L Ron Hubbard. There will be free cake and lemonade. And lollies.

I have spread flyers in the train today, and will continue to do so till the day of Party Hard, March 15th. It's funny to see all kinds of people reading the flyers. I've seen people old enough to be my grandfolk read it intensely, people younger than me, 'normal' people, alternati-HOLY MOTHER OF GOD A MIDGET JUST WALKED BY.

We are Anonymous
We are Legion
We do not forgive
We do not forget

Modern Man

I'm a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I've been up linked and downloaded, I've been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I'm a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond!

I'm new wave, but I'm old school and my inner child is outward bound. I'm a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I'm interactive, I'm hyperactive and from time to time I'm radioactive.

Behind the eight ball, ahead of the curve, ridin the wave, dodgin the bullet and pushin the envelope. I'm on-point, on-task, on-message and off drugs. I've got no need for coke and speed. I've got no urge to binge and purge. I'm in-the-moment, on-the-edge, over-the-top and under-the-radar. A high-concept, low-profile, medium-range ballistic missionary. A street-wise smart bomb. A top-gun bottom feeder. I wear power ties, I tell power lies, I take power naps and run victory laps. I'm a totally ongoing big-foot, slam-dunk, rainmaker with a pro-active outreach. A raging workaholic. A working rageaholic. Out of rehab and in denial!

I've got a personal trainer, a personal shopper, a personal assistant and a personal agenda. You can't shut me up. You can't dumb me down because I'm tireless and I'm wireless, I'm an alpha male on beta-blockers.

I'm a non-believer and an over-achiever, laid-back but fashion-forward. Up-front, down-home, low-rent, high-maintenance. Super-sized, long-lasting, high-definition, fast-acting, oven-ready and built-to-last! I'm a hands-on, foot-loose, knee-jerk head case pretty maturely post-traumatic and I've got a love-child that sends me hate mail.

But, I'm feeling, I'm caring, I'm healing, I'm sharing-- a supportive, bonding, nurturing primary care-giver. My output is down, but my income is up. I took a short position on the long bond and my revenue stream has its own cash-flow. I read junk mail, I eat junk food, I buy junk bonds and I watch trash sports! I'm gender specific, capital intensive, user-friendly and lactose intolerant.

I like rough sex. I like tough love. I use the "F" word in my emails and the software on my hard-drive is hardcore--no soft porn.

I bought a microwave at a mini-mall; I bought a mini-van at a mega-store. I eat fast-food in the slow lane. I'm toll-free, bite-sized, ready-to-wear and I come in all sizes. A fully-equipped, factory-authorized, hospital-tested, clinically-proven, scientifically- formulated medical miracle. I've been pre-wash, pre-cooked, pre-heated, pre-screened, pre-approved, pre-packaged, post-dated, freeze-dried, double-wrapped, vacuum-packed and, I have an unlimited broadband capacity.

I'm a rude dude, but I'm the real deal. Lean and mean! Cocked, locked and ready-to-rock. Rough, tough and hard to bluff. I take it slow, I go with the flow, I ride with the tide. I've got glide in my stride. Drivin and movin, sailin and spinin, jiving and groovin, wailin and winnin. I don't snooze, so I don't lose. I keep the pedal to the metal and the rubber on the road. I party hearty and lunch time is crunch time. I'm hangin in, there ain't no doubt and I'm hangin tough, over and out!

Waarom ik zoveel over Scientology schrijf

Beware the Ides of March...

Tot 15 maart...

Beware the Ides of March

On 10 Feb 2008, Anonymous staged historic demonstrations against the Church of Scientology worldwide. The church called Anonymous "cyber-terrorists" and "bigots," and withdrew back into the shadows.

The voice of truth abides

"A" for Astra Woodcraft, and the child she fled to save.

She faced the chill of disconnect, and others tithed their babes.

"N" for Noah Lottick, who was only 24.

With a slim fistful of dollars, he sailed from the tenth floor.

"O" for drowned Ophelias who perished in the deep:

Ostertag, The Pilot, Margaret Winkleman, and Pete.

"N" is for Not Drowning: Josephus in the bath,

his death a dark monstrosity of cruelty and wrath.

"Y" is what we ask aloud as we behold the sight

of your ostentatious monoliths, their windows shut to light.

"M" is for McPhearson, Moxon-Meyer, Meister, Mills.

And a Mom named Ellie Perkins, whose son could not take pills.

Mom-in-law Miscavige, Mack, Mooney, and McCann:

A dark march of mortality, morbidity, and scam.

"O" is for oblivion upon a hangman's noose,

or the deathcall from the window-ledge where many faced their truth.

"U" are who I ask to look upon this soul's dark night.

Why are they dead? There's not just one.

And this is why we fight.

"S" for Scientragedy: innocence betrayed.

CO$ beware the Ides of March:

We are Legion.

Be Afraid.

The Wretched

the clouds will part and the sky cracks open
and god himself will reach his fucking arm through
just to push you down
just to hold you down
stuck in this hole with the shit and the piss
and it's hard to believe it could come down to thisback at the beginning
sinking
spinning

Countdown till the end, but make it go faster

"Blog more Michel, Blog more!", said the little voice inside of me. So I will, and so I am.

And not just some random lyric I find interesting either! A real, lengthy blogpost. I think. Sometimes you're just struck by a bad case of writers blog I mean block y'know?

I ended things with Vera. She's a real nice girl, but not the one for me. I could go into details but I don't really feel like it >_>

Days are stressful for me, waking up at 6 am everyday, getting home past 7 everyday, yes it's tough. Only half a year, Michel!

The internship is nice though. We had a poker tournament last Friday, and afterward we went out for beers. It was really nice to see your boss outside of the office enviroment. People change :P

Ok so I lied. This is not a lenghty blogpost afterall. SUE ME.

What if?

What if everything around you,
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you used to know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is that all you want to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks,
Would you find yourself... find yourself afraid to see?

I'm on cloud nine, and I'm feeling woozy from lack of oxygen

Life can be awesome when you're in love. No matter what happens, drunken fools shouting in your ears while you're trying to relax in the train, getting home at 20:30 when you could've been home by 19:00, (almost) having to eat sauerkraut for dinner, and still you're smiling, ear to ear.

But then again, she IS awesome. My art school chick :P I could go on and on about how awesome she is, but no one is gonna read it, and Kerim will only say I'm a wuss about it so I won't. I'm going to get my music and soak in water for about an hour before I have to get back to der arbeit. Which means work for you Amerifags.

:humming: if I could only breaaaaaaaathe you iiiiiiiin :humming:

Sound of silence

I bought a pair of headphones for my iPod today, and I'm told they're great. They sure sound great, and that's all I care about XD

Check out my new pair of ears: LINK ZOMG

So Another pointless trip to my school today, which is always nice. I went there for my periodical evaluation stuff whatever. So I am there, ahead of schedule since I needed to make my final study plan awesome. So my teacher is there, and he's like, wtf you're here? You didn't mail me back!

So I'm like, wtfux mate, you say we have to come, since when does a student have to say "Ok I'll come"? I thought we had to listen to our teachers but apparently it's become a democracy :P

Valentine's Day is coming up, or commercial shitty pink junk day as I'd like to call it. But you know me, I'm a sucker for love, and I'll spend too much on my Vera. Anything for my little lady ;) (insert obligatory butch/manly comment here to balance things out)

Monday I'll start my new internship. Which will be a blast, I hope :P I'll definitely  post more on that later.

Did I mention that I'm  seeing Vera tonight again? No? Well I am. She's sick so this is my chance to show her how caring I am XD.

Well, that's it for  this post.

We are officially a 'thing' now

You read it, I'm off the market again, so to speak. Her name is Vera, she's an art school girl (:awesome:) and as cute as this cat:

And that's saying a LOT. Coincedentally, this cat really matches my current blog theme.

I bid you adieu!

Upated my portfolio AGAIN.

Even more awesomeness now.

I modified the little description window, because the old one sucked. I also added my trademark cat silhouette. I also edited the frontpage, to include said cat.

Note: the frontpage doesn't look as well as it should in Internet Explorer. And it never will. Learn to use better browsers, people.

My portfolio, modified to add even more awesomeness

I modified my portfolio. The background colour now changes according to the time of day :)

I also noticed my feed was somehow valid, but it had some warnings. Which are resolved now. Enjoy.

And if you haven't seen my portfolio yet, now's as good a time as any to correct your mistake.

We're in this together now

You and me
Were in this together now
None of them can stop us now
We will make it through some how
You and me
If the world should break in two
Until the very end of me
Until the very end of you

Even after everything
Youre the queen and Im the king
Nothing else means anything

Nine Inch Nails truly is an awesome band, and Trent Reznor truly is a musical god. They write songs appropriate for all moods. Anger, Hate, Misery and even love, as the above lyric proves. Yes, I'm feeling happy, bear with me.

I'm so tired, of playing with this bow and arrow

Now my title has nothing to do with me actually being tired of playing with a bow and arrow. I'm a Sagittarius, would be a bit odd if I get bored doing what I do best, now wouldn't it?

In fact, it's a lyric from one of the best songs of one of the best bands in the world; Portishead. And guess who's going to be seeing them live? Wait for it... waaaaait for iiiiit... ME BABY! ME! The concert will be in april but already I'm excited, since I never thought I would get the change to see Beth Gibbons do her magic in real life. I mean, they haven't toured in 10 years, so I didn't think they would ever tour again. But here they are, about to release a new album and tour. Awesomeness.

Speaking of awesomeness, I have bought a new guitar, and it rocks. And you can rock with it. Heh. It's a Richwood, which is a good brand I'm told. Anyway it's a semi-acoustic purple guitar, and a picture you can find here:

My new guitar!

It's totally awesome.

On a WHOLE different note, my weekend was the best one in ages. I met a new girl Saturday, we went on a date on Sunday and we totally had a 'click'. God I sound like a valley girl now >_>

More on her later ;) And of course, when I say later, I mean next time I get off my lazy ass and write a blogpost.

For now, take care of yourself, and eachother.

By the way, Sweeney Todd is the best musical since ever. Go see it.

English? Wtf?

Many people ask me why my blog is in English. Simple. Because it's not a Hyves blog but my own blog on www.michelmaas.com, exported to Hyves.

PORTISHEAD IN THE NL! Woot!

Yes, finally!

After 10 years, Portishead will finally give a concert in The Netherlands. So I'm going to look for my sleepingbag and my thermos, because I just GOT to get a ticket!

Presale starts this Saturday. I'll be first in line!

Wish me luck!

Monday, January 21, 2008

Ok, you may call me a hippie if you want.

No seriously, this one time.

Go ahead , I'll wait.

You done? Great, let's get on with the story, shall we?

As you're undoubtedly aware, I am a man with a mission. You've read my blogpost about the current state of the world, and my mission to (help) improve it.

Well then. We have to follow a Minor for school next year, and I've been thinking about it for some weeks now. Switching from Mechatronics in the beginning of the year to Audio Design, Psychology and now I've finally found one that suits me. Religion, Philosophy and Levensbeschouwing (there is no English word for it afaik, sorry. Closest I get translating it is life consideration).

I've written down my main study goals and what I want to write my paper on, and what I wanna do for my free project, and it is all supported by this minor. I want to research why people are so closed in real life while trying to contact eachother on the net. And, as you know, I want people to be more in touch. Always.

Now I'm not going to write down everything I'm thinking of doing for my free project or paper, but it involves some innovative social networking technology. Which I want to develop myself. Funny thing, when I was making notes about it on my iPod, I made a funny typo which I kinda like as a project name: Visipn. Now all I gotta do is squeeze a longer name out of it. Something like VISited Interaction Personal Network? VIral Social Interacting Personal Network? I don't know. But for you webdevelopers out there, you might guess what direction I want to take when developing this new technology ;)

Anyway, I'm still waiting for more info about the minor, and the OK from my teacher.

That's it again for this update, more as it develops. No pun intended.

And all we ever were, just zeros and ones

Another week gone by, and what have we learned from this week?

Well, for starters that creating an interactive broadcasting station is hard work. And that honesty is a hard thing to come by these days. Apparently, someone has been on a 'shopping' spree when we were presenting our stuff. As far as we know, a photocamera has disappeared, and some color filters for lighting. Seriously, who does that, among fellow students? This world is coming to an end faster than... well I had too much to drink last night, I can't make witty comments anymore. And you know that's serious business.

Last night I went out, which was nice as usual. Yoeran had Goldstrike, and I brought dropshot, both bottles are empty, you do the math. We were with lots of people, but still, damn. But we're still standing strong.

Now I started this blogpost expecting I could write a lot, and yes, a lot is on my mind, in a very positive way. But it's still too early (not time-wise but chronologically, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if even I know what I mean >_>). So I don't really know what I can blog about. Maybe the weather... Nah, I'm 23, not 63. Like 23 is old! Pff!

So I'll go fondle my fiddle again now, and watch a movie I think. Nothing much to do round these here parts.

And goddamn Trent Reznor, you're a musical god.

This cake is delicious, and so moist!

I'm watching the X-Files again, it's been so long since I last saw the series but it's oh so good.

Anyway, I'm just blogging to blog now. Nothing really happened, apart from stress at school. Why do they always wait till the very last moment to do things? Or rather, to give me things to do. The mind boggles.

So here I am, editing covers for my newly 'acquired' X-files collection. Oh and by the way, moms, lock your daughters in tonight, 'cause it's weekend and I'm going out~. Going out, not coming out. Let's get that straight. Haha, I made a pun!

That's it for now,

Peace to my  homes in the hood.

The cake is a lie.
The cake is a lie.
The cake is a lie.
The cake is a lie.

It's me, I'm Michel, I've come home

Yeah so I'm listening to Kate Bush now, thanks again to Pleunie. She's become my personal DJ. Let me explain that.

I yell at her on MSN, "Give me a letter!", which she then does. I proceed to check my (much too huge) music collection (it weighs a metric ton, 56 gigabytes. Though my record is over 80 gigabyte, before the Great Crash of 2002. Yes I remember these things, I'm a geek) and see which artists start with the given letter. In this case, the letter provided was 'K', a good, firm letter. You can see everything there is to know about the letter K at Wikipedia.

Then I chose Kate Bush. The only Bush worth mentioning, in my opinion. I'm a sucker for the oldies, and this is certainly one of them. Although Within Temptation (admittedly) sounds a lot like them, with more guitars and goth fags running around at their concerts.

And because I just had to do some work for school I kinda forgot whatever funny stuff I was going to write down now. But boy, it was funny. I'm still laughing from it. Too bad it's lost, gone forever. Maybe I'll write a tribute post for it. Seems original!

I'm getting buying a new used guitar amp sunday. So I can finally rock in  style again. Jolien had the acoustic guitars unfortunately. Not that it matters, my guitar rocks her guitars. I even have a capo, ha! Beat that!

This music makes me dream away. Good for relaxing, I recommend it. Now I really don't have anything to tell anymore. Life is boring in Sint Willebrord. Luckily it's almost weekend so I can go out again. It's not a full moon this weekend, so you should all be safe.

Later noobs.

I'm not mentioning my ex this time.

Shit I did it in the title. I fail at life.

Anyway, another day, another blogpost, not that I'm going to be blogging daily from now on, my disclaimer still stands strong. I'm just in the mood for blogging thats all.

So I discovered (via Pleunie, much obliged) that the Horrorpops will be releasing a new album next month. Let me repeat that. The Horrorpops will release a new album next month. Exciting, exciting. For those of you who  who are mentally retarded, live in a cave, are blind/deaf, don't know the horrorpops, here is their myspace. When I say here, I mean the upcoming link entitled here: here.

Also, The Dreaming will release their first album on iTunes in a month. The Dreaming is the new band of the old singer of Stabbing Westward. I've been following them for a little over 4 years now, watching them grow and flourish, and now the time has come to let my child go out and explore the world. Christ, I'm getting all emotional from it.

I missed the bus today when I was going home, a rare occasion for those of you who know me well. I didn't know what to do with this gap in my daily schedule, so I decided to go hunting for Nine Inch Nails DVDs. Of course, none were to be found, but you know me, I can't quit shopping till I find something I need want. So this is what I bought:

  • DVD of a concert of Ennio Morricone (if you don't know him, please say so out loud. A squad team will come to your house in 15 minutes and 'deal' with your problem.

  • 3 disc DVD set of the best of The Muppet Show (yes I like the muppets. Bite me)

  • 2 disc special edition in a metal case of Sin City

All together for only 25 euro's. Pretty cheap if you ask me. Other than that nothing really happened today. Well something did, but I promised I wouldn't talk about it (see title).

The girl I like is being a little bit distant. I hope this doesn't mean the worst. Meh, I don't think so, must be me. I know I am too enthusiastic much too fast. Keep it together Michel, you can do it!

I'm getting pretty good at this whole blogging thing. Look at my earlier posts and look at the posts I make these days. Sjeez. Must be my age, I need to write my shit down or else I just don't remember it. My age, or otherwise the booze.

And now I'm going to watch my 2 disc special edition of Sin City. With my terrible cold, *sniff*. Oh well, at least I won't be alone.

Ps. NEW HORRORPOPS ALBUM WOOOOOOOO

Monday, January 7, 2008

New theme!

In case you haven't noticed, I am using a different theme for my blog from now on. You didn't notice did you :(

:'(

Bored, so blogging

Well, I haven't gotten anything to do at the moment, so I thought, why not wright some of my thoughts down.

When I walk the streets, ride the bus or train or do anything that involves me going outdoor, I see all these people I don't know. There are literally billions of people in the world, yet we feel so alone. We're afraid to reach out and contact eachother. Why is that?

I saw 2 girls, getting out at the same busstop, they didn't even look eachother in the eye. They practically live next to eachother, yet no contact at all.

How could it have come to this? Fear? Or just the feeling of indifference towards eachother?

We live in a world with a society which depends on us all working together. We're getting more and more problems because we just don't seem to get along anymore. We don't communicate, which leads to a lack of understanding, which breeds fear. And we all know what fear leads to; Hate.

Someone recently asked me what my goal is in life. If that someone is you, then sorry that I've forgotten it was you ;)

My goal  in life is to get everyone in this world connected to each other,  communicating, socializing, even if it is just to say Hi once in a while. Call me crazy, but I think that it's perfectly possible, seeing where the internet is now and where it was 10 years ago. 10 years from now, it will be such a standard that everyone will be constantly connected. I wanna be the one (well, not by myself, but with a team of course) who gets them socializing, connecting, sharing and living together.

Together for a better world, because quite frankly, we're doomed as a society if we don't.

Now on to a different subject. I'm bored, no one nice is online, I'm missing a certain someone and I'm getting a cold. Im sitting here, listening to nice music (radiohead, nine inch nails and Sia (thanks Alieke)) dreaming and just doing nothing. Which is nice, the last week has been hell for me. There have been highlights, of course, the night out with Alieke topping it by far. I also got my long overdue ipod touch (which is still awesome) and a home cinema set which sounds godlike. Now all I need to buy is a cheap amplifier for my guitar and a capo, since capo's are cool.

I wanna keep on typing, but I don't think whatever I will type after this will be interesting, so I won't bore you any longer.

Go out on the street and just say Hi! to people! They will like it, I know I would!

Nightly musing

A short post (I think) written with my iPod touch. Just to let you know how I am and stuff.

Im feeling much better now that I'm away from Jolien and Nijmegen. I had a date with a very sweet girl, who I hope to see again soon. She's very busy at school though, unfortunately. We had a date, dinner and a movie. I thought it was very nice and we kind of hit it off. She's a very sweet and intelligent girl, easy on the eyes too ;) When I talk to her on MSN, I feel happy, a rare commodity to come by these days. God, I wanna see Her again soon >.<

its getting late now, and I got school tomorrow. Let's hope I dream of my special someone, and not of my stupid ex. She makes my blood boil at the moment. She's not the Jolien I once knew...

oh well, nightynight.
